ELEMENTS

This palette continues to evoke the natural elements of the hotel with a nod to the hotel leaf motif in 3 dimensions along the feature wall creating a statement and allowing a more intimate setting it has also been incorporated into the design with the use of decorative mosaics with a leaf design and a touch of aqua. Colour also punctuated the neutral tones with shades of aqua on the interior of the dining area and deep mustard yellow on the exterior. It was also important that the buffet room be completely coordinated with the design concept not just the cabinetry but also the plating and display. 

Using the concept of the elements of cooking – salt, sweet, sour, bitter umami aligned with our building elements of wood, metal, fire, water, earth we created an eclectic collection of textures for tastes. The display is functional and appealing using wooden display boards, metal risers, and tall local leaf displays in glass vases creating an environment where we eat with our eyes first!
